North Dakota 9-Man Playoff Preview

by Jason Andera October 17, 2012

1:00 pm in Wyndmere
1 #1 Wyndmere-Lidg.
2 #4 Hillsboro-CV
Wyndmere-Lidgerwood has two of the most talented athletes in the class with Vazquez and Illies. I’m picking the Warbirds by 20.
3:00 pm in Cavalier
2 #2 Cavalier
1 #3 South Border
Cavalier is 6 points away from an undefeated season. They’ll beat  South Border by two scores.
1:00 pm in New Rockford
2 #1 New Rockford-S
1 #4 LaMoure-L-M
The best game of the first round features an unbeaten NRS team with some of the best linebackers in the biz against the toughest runner in the east (Brady Thielges). Give me the Loboes in a very close game.
1:30 pm in Napoleon
1 #2 Napoleon-G-S
2 #3 Lakota-A-E Dakota Bowl
This could be a surprise game for Lakota-Adams-Edmore but I think Kelly McCleery’s bunch will start their title defense with a win. NGS by 7.
3:00 pm in Towner
3 #1 Towner-G-U
4 #4 Shiloh Christian
TGU showed the state that they are a physcial team that can pass and run. Luke Bacon heads a tough line and they’ll have their hands full with AJ Dale and Blake Emmel but the Titans will pull it out. TGU by two scores.
1:30 pm in Turtle Lake
4 #2 Central McLean
3 #3 Surrey
Dylan Ruff is a weekly highlight machine, he’ll carry Central McLean to a 10 point win against Surrey.
2:00 pm in Crosby
4 #1 Divide County
3 #4 St. John
Divide County will get the biggest win of the day with their big line and Isaac Jacobs ramming the ball.
2:00 pm in Cando
3 #2 North Star
4 #3 Beach
This game could be closer than most think. North Star will win if Colton Braun gives the passing game a boost. Give me the Bearcats by 14.
